After getting my pay, I straight away took a look at the citibank webpage to check for any 1 for 1 buffet promotions. And there I saw the Porridge Buffet at Orchard Parade Hotel.. and decided to bring J there for a treat.

Well, the food is not that fantastic but is good for those old people i think. Lols. Goodwood Park porridge buffet is still the best ya..



The desserts that they have... Cheng Teng... wanted to eat the yam paste but whenever I want to take some, the pot went empty =\ sad case



Common teochew dishes to go with white porridge. Salted Eggs, Ngoh Hiang, Luncheon Meat... and Peanuts... and...



steamed meat! salted fish.. Mui Chai..





Chicken Feet! Not very good.. no taste



Special fish porridge they have...



Pig Trotter.... no taste too

街头茶餐厅 - Jie Tou Cha Can Ting

We were walking up and down from Esplanade to Marina Square and back to Raffles City and just couldn't decide on what to eat for dinner. In the end, I brought J back to the place where I had my lunch with my friends on the very same day - Streets Cafe which is located @ Raffles City Basement 1.

The food are quite delicious except their drinks... because there isn't any of the drink can help us to digest or feel better after eating so much. J had the special longan drink with nata de coco and I had the lime cooler which they mixed with soda.



I ate the Portuguese Hotpot chicken and which is similar to those normal Koeran hot pot. It was nice but I was tired after a mouthfuls and I started to chew my food really really slow.



We also ordered Gong Bao Chicken as side dish. It is quite normal but I don't feel that spicy even though there are so many dried chillis and green chilli inside. Maybe the chicken was not miranated and fried together with the chillies.



J's main dish was this Fried rice with Curry seafood. I recommended him this dish as my friend had ordered too during lunch time. But it somehow tasted quite different from the one I tried earlier. Too bad for J.



Next, I think the drinks were too sweet for J's liking so he decided to use some porridge to clear the throat. It was nice and the mince meat was really MINCED.. and you can taste a little bit of the meat here and there.



Overall I think it taste better than the other Hong Kong cafes out there..

At last finally we present our favorite NaNa Curry!!



I remember that we used to have NaNa Curry almost every weekend regardless is it lunch or dinner. And we can just enjoy it so much even we're sick! NaNa Curry has the best curry in Singapore and they have several outlets selling Chicken, Mutton, Vegetable and Fish Curry islandwide. One of the best that many people recommend is the one at Bedok Interchange NTUC Foodfare which we frequent alot.

What's nice about the curry is the gravy which we can just eat it plainly with rice. The curry is quite spicy but it is so much delicious that you don't mind keep spicing ourselves up! And also the tenderness of the chicken.. mmmmmm



We always order chicken and vegetable curry but too bad we were there quite late and therefore only left the Chicken. =(

I kept bugging J whether is he still hungry as I really crave for the porridge at the Bedok hawker centre. It opened not long ago and I've eaten most of their porridge there already. The best of the porridge is the You Tiao that they served. Its not too oily and its not too BIG to eat and most importantly that they have this special taste which taste very different from those normal You Tiao usually have outside.
